Planning a trip has always been exciting for us, but when it came time to organize our honeymoon to Japan in 2025, we realized that the experience could be much easier and more efficient. We wanted everything perfectly organized, with every detail at our fingertips, but we couldn’t find any tool that met our expectations.

Searching for the Perfect Tool

We use Notion for many things in our daily lives, and it was our first choice when planning the trip. However, we quickly realized that while it’s an excellent tool for many tasks, it wasn’t specifically designed for travelers. We were missing key features: an interactive map to visualize routes in real-time, the ability to see and manage locations and activities in one place, and the flexibility to make changes on the go.

A Custom-Made Solution

After searching for alternatives and not finding anything that convinced us, we decided the best solution was to create our own tool. That’s how Darunary was born, a travel planner designed by travelers, for travelers. We wanted it to be more than just a simple itinerary organizer; we envisioned a platform that would allow users to create routes, consult interactive maps in real-time, and customize every detail of their trip, all from a single place.
